My name is Shaojia Chen, and I go by Max. I Hold an M.F.A. in Collaborative Design from Syracuse University, I currently serve as a senior Industrial Designer at iRobot. In the past 7+ years, I've been privileged to contribute to the launch of 6 major products in the market and provide valuable design support for various other launched programs. I’ve also successfully obtained 10+ design patents globally, this achievement reflects my dedication to creating unique and impactful solutions within the field of industrial design.

Besides the robotics landscape, I've gained solid hands-on experience in the realms of consumer electronics such as speakers and cameras, adding practical expertise to my skill set.

Outside the design studio, I love to travel and explore different cities & diverse cultures. In wintertime, my favorite thing to do is snowboarding. Experiencing the world beyond my work has not only broadened my perspective but has also inspired and influenced my design philosophy.
